Privacy Policy for Quick Word
This privacy policy applies to the Quick Word app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Abdullah Tanrıverdi (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Free service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.
Information Collection and Use
The Application does not require account creation and does not ask you to provide any personally identifiable information, such as your name or email address.
Your gameplay preferences (display theme and sound on/off) are stored only on your device using local device storage. This data is never transmitted anywhere and cannot be accessed by the Service Provider.
The Application does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photos.
Analytics
The Application uses PostHog to collect anonymous product analytics that help the Service Provider understand how the Application is used and improve it. This includes gameplay events (such as when a game starts or ends, words submitted or rejected, and joker/refresh tile usage) together with technical data PostHog collects automatically, such as device/OS information, app version, and an approximate location derived from your IP address (city/country level). This data is associated with a randomly generated identifier, not your name, email address, or other directly identifying information. See PostHog’s own privacy policy for details:
Advertising
The Application uses Google AdMob to display banner and rewarded video ads. To deliver, measure, and prevent fraud in these ads, Google AdMob and its partners may automatically collect certain technical data from your device, such as advertising identifiers, IP address, and general usage/interaction data, in accordance with their own privacy policies:
The Service Provider does not control what data these third-party ad services collect and refers you to their respective privacy policies for details, including any choices they offer (such as ad personalization settings in your device’s OS or Google account).
Managing and Withdrawing Ad Consent
Where required by applicable law (such as the GDPR in the EEA/UK), the Application asks for your consent to ad personalization the first time you use it. You can review, change, or withdraw that consent at any time from within the Application via Settings → Ad Consent → Manage, which reopens Google’s consent management form.
Third Party Access
Aside from the advertising and analytics services described above, the Application does not share any information with third parties. The Service Provider does not operate any backend servers that store or process your data.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it, using the standard uninstall process available on your device or via the applicable app marketplace.
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider does not collect or retain any personally identifiable information from the Application. Locally stored preferences are removed automatically when you uninstall the Application.
Children
The Application does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The Application is not directed at children, and the Service Provider does not knowingly market to or solicit data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, please contact the Service Provider using the details below.
Security
The Service Provider values the confidentiality of your information and takes reasonable measures to protect it, though the Application does not collect or store personal information beyond the local, on-device preferences described above.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use of the Application is deemed approval of all changes.
